Basic Mexican Salsa Recipe

Today I ll teach you how is easy to prepare very very fast, fresh mexican salsa. Basically you mix all ingredients and that’s it. In mexican salsa you can put almost everything, so be free to experiment a bit. Here We ll learn how to make fresh and fast mexican salsa. Lets start..

You ll need:

  • 3 red tomatoes
  • 5 serrano chillies or green chillies (its same :D )
  • 1-2 onions
  • coriander (cilantro)
  • lemon juice
  • salt

Directions:

  1. First thing first. Be sure that you have tomatoes sliced into small pieces. Same repeat with green chillies, onions and coriander. After this step you should end with finelly sliced tomatoes, green chillies, 1/2 cup of sliced onions and 1/2 cup of sliced coriander.
  2. Mix all that together and add salt and lemon juice until you have taste as you want. This step depends of your taste, so be free.
  3. Before serving, put this salsa into a refrigerator for a 15-20 minutes.

That’s it! This is why I love mexican salsa. Its incredibly easy to make. Mexican salsa is perfect for serving to your friends, home party or anywhere you want.

Authentic Mexican Tortilla Recipe

Hi people! Today we ll gonna learn how to make authentic mexican tortilla. Sure its easy to buy them in shops, but I ll show you how much is easy to make them at home. So lets start.

You ll need:

  • 4 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon of backing powder
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of sea salt
  • 1 cup of lukewarm water

Directions:

  1. First put 4 cups of all purpose flour into bowl, folowed by 1/8 teaspoon of backing powder and 1/2 cup of vegetable shortening. Start combining them by hand until you get this mixture crumbly :)
  2. Combine 1 1/2 teaspoons of sea salt with 1 cup of warm water. Then add them slowly into bowl, while use hands to mix for a few minutes. Be free to add little more water if needed.
  3. Put new formed dough into plate and cover with bowl for 20 minutes. In meanwhile You can check other mexican recipes on my site :D. After 20 minutes remove bowl, take the dough, and pull it apart into 12 balls. For a better effect it is advised to put a little shortening on hands. Lightly flour area where you ll roll balls. Now you are ready to roll each ball until you get them as thin as possible.
  4. Final step. Heat your pan on medium. Put mexican tortilla into it and cook for a 15-20 seconds or more, until tortilla get brown color. Now flip tortilla to another side and cook for same period of time.

That’s it! You just prepared nice authentic mexican tortilla.
